After traveling in India, he was inspired by the abundance of exotic spices they have over there and so the idea for Gin Normindia was born.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003ePierre then found an old recipe in an old family book that dated back to \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e1765 \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003ethat was approved by the then \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eKing of France, Louis XV.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e The Spirit was called\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e 'La Chymie du Goût et de l’Odorat'\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, which basically means the\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e chemistry of flavors and aromas\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e. He went to work and began experimentation: \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e42 macerations\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e and \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e33 micro-distillations later\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, the final recipe was reated.\u003cbr\u003e\r\n\u003cbr\u003e\r\n\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eGin Normindia\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e is 100% produced at the family estate. The maceration lasts for 4 to 12 days in a stainless steel vat before the Gin is distilled in the smallest \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCalvados copper still,\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e yielding 10,000 bottles per batch. The recipe is comprised of \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e15 botanicals\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, including apple, orange, cinnamon, juniper, lily, clove, ginger, and coriander.
